Egyptian Security Printer First in Region to Earn Dual Intergraf Certification
Egypt’s National Company for Advanced Industries and Integrated Strategic Printing Solutions (NASPS), a state-owned entity producing secure government documents, tax stamps, and ID documents, has been awarded two international certifications from Intergraf. This makes NASPS the first entity in the Middle East and Africa to receive both certifications simultaneously, and in record time (given that it was only inaugurated in 2021).
The certifications in question are:
INTERGRAF ISO 14298:2021 – for security printers, hologram makers, and producers of secure documents like banknotes, ID cards, passports, driving licences, postage and tax stamps, holograms, certificates, breeder documents, and credit cards.
INTERGRAF 15374:2023 – for suppliers of security features and services that ensure the physical security of printed matter manufactured by a security printer. Such suppliers include producers of inks, security paper, lamination plates, security foils, inlays, security design software, substrates, pigments, coatings, and machinery.
In other words, 14298 is for security printers, and 15374 is for suppliers to security printers.
