With more than 700 years of history, the Imprensa Nacional Casa da Moeda (INCM) – also known as the Portuguese mint and national press – is committed to enhancing its role as a progressive, globally engaged organisation through a strategic focus on innovation, collaboration, and expansion. Its recent initiatives and partnerships demonstrate a strong dedication to providing high-security, technology-driven solutions for both domestic and international markets.

A significant step in this direction is the integration of the Centre for Nanotechnology and Technical, Functional, and Intelligent Materials (CeNTI) into the INCM Innovation Network. CeNTI offers expertise in nanotechnology and smart materials, facilitating joint research and development initiatives that align with INCM’s mission to deliver secure and intelligent solutions for society.

Launched in 2016, the INCM Innovation Network serves as a collaborative platform that connects universities, startups, and research centres to drive innovation in areas such as identification, authentication, GovTech, currency, and culture.
