VerifyMe Extends Taggant Partnership with HP Indigo

Brand protection and supply chain security specialist VerifyMe has announced the renewal of its exclusive ink taggant partnership with HP Indigo for a further five years.

The agreement covers the provision of VerifyInk™ security ink taggants for HP Indigo’s 6000 series of digital press models, which HP markets as HP Security Electroink.

The taggant inks, which are infrared-based, form part of a suite of overt and covert security inks for HP Indigo presses, which also include spot colour, metallic, colour- shifting, UV fluorescent, and invisible inks.

In addition to VerifyMe, HP Indigo has been partnering, for a number of years now, with Jura, who bring security design software, variable security features for digital printing, and smartphone authentication expertise to the partnership.

In 2021, Jura collaborated with HP Indigo to launch its 6K Secure label and flexible packaging press, specifically for security printing markets. The press is able to create multiple security layers and variable elements in one single pass, in a secure environment, using a combination of ink, design and secure workflow.
