From Authentication to Intelligence – Securikett Expands its Platform and Materials Innovation
Austrian security label producer Securikett has introduced Codikett 2.0, a cloud-native platform that reflects a broader shift underway in product authentication and traceability – from isolated verification tools to fully integrated, data-driven supply chain systems. Alongside this digital development, the company has also unveiled its ‘structured silicone coating’ technology, signalling a parallel evolution on the physical side of security labelling.
Taken together, the two developments illustrate an increasingly important direction in the sector: the convergence of digital traceability platforms and advanced physical label engineering.
Codikett 2.0
The launch of Codikett 2.0 comes at a time when regulatory developments such as the EU digital product passport are raising expectations on manufacturers to provide verifiable, end-to-end transparency. Yet many companies continue to rely on fragmented approaches – standalone QR codes, disconnected databases, manual spreadsheets, and multiple partner portals – resulting in limited oversight and delayed response to emerging risks.
Codikett 2.0 is positioned as a response to this fragmentation. At its core are non-sequential, non-guessable unique identifiers, which can be assigned at product, batch or item level. These identifiers act as the digital anchor for all interactions within the system.
