Warsaw Welcomes Global Tech Leaders to ODDS Conference

The Optical & Digital Document Security™ (ODDS) conference, taking place from 15-17 September in Warsaw, Poland, and supported by the International Optical Technologies Association (IOTA), is the key technical forum for physical, digital, and virtual document security. All arrangements are now in place, and attendance is expected to reach capacity for the three-day event.

The conference programme will include three pre-conference seminars and eight themed sessions curated by a globally respected technical committee.

A notable feature of this year’s event is a strengthened focus on optical technologies as engines of innovation.

These technologies – ranging from diffractive structures and nanophotonic devices to colour-shifting materials and deep-subwavelength OVDs – form the backbone of modern document authentication, particularly as the threat landscape shifts with the advent of AI and quantum computing.

Day one is dedicated to visual security, showcasing examples of advanced optical engineering. Highlights include RollingStar® Venus by Louisenthal, innovative machine- readable infrared absorbing features by SICPA, 3D light-field imaging by ZSST (China Banknote Printing and Minting subsidiary), stable colour 3D OVDs by TOPPAN, IN Groupe’s zero-order diffractive structures, and plasmonic nanostructures.
