ODDS 2027 Call for Papers: Advancing Research in Next-Generation Security
The organisers of the Optical & Digital Document Security™ (ODDS) conference have announced a call for papers for ODDS 2027, inviting researchers, technologists, and practitioners to submit original work on document and identity system security.
ODDS is a specialist forum for the initial presentation and discussion of research on secure documents and identity technologies. The conference convenes academia, industry, and government to exchange evidence-based advances, practical insights, and emerging concepts in optical and digital security.
The 2027 edition, which takes place 25-27 January in Berlin, Germany, will address the protection of documents and identities across diverse technologies, including optical security features, advanced materials, biometrics, cryptography, machine-readable data, and system integration.
The 2027 conference is especially timely, as document and identity systems face increasingly complex threats, including those from automated content generation, machine learning, and AI-enabled attacks.
The emergence of deepfakes, synthetic identities, and automated fraud tools has introduced significant challenges for issuers, regulators, and technology providers. Concurrently, data-driven detection methods, advanced analytics, and AI-assisted verification are providing robust new defensive capabilities.
