AURORA: Bosch and ANY’s Integrated Approach to Document Security
At the Optical & Digital Document Security™ conference in September, Adrian Monostori of ANY Security Printing and Oliver Steinbis of Bosch Secure Authentication (BSA) presented AURORA, a jointly developed application of Bosch’s Origify system. The aim of the application is to bring an additional layer of protection to tax stamps in the form of a multilayered QR code.
ANY is a Hungarian security printer that has become a significant force in secured documents, beyond the boundaries of Eastern Europe. Monostori is Head of its Innovation Hub.
BSA was established earlier this year to commercialise Origify, the product authentication system its parent company had developed over the last couple of years in response to attacks on Bosch automotive components. The challenge with protecting these components was that some of them were incompatible with extant product authentication methods, either because the components were too small, didn’t have a suitable surface, or because any added authentication element might have interfered with their functioning.
