Tax Stamps that Talk Back at You

The Korea Minting, Security Printing and ID Card Operating Corp (KOMSCO) has developed a tax stamp in collaboration with VOICEYE, a 2D high-density barcode solution specialist, with a focus on critical global markets like tobacco, alcohol, and pharmaceuticals.

The stamp combines physical security features such as micro- characters, colour-changing latent image, and tamper-evidence, with KOMSCO’s digital certificate technology. Additionally, it provides voice output and translation functions for the information contained in the special VOICEYE code on the stamp, which can support visually impaired individuals and those needing language assistance.
