DLR Announces New MD for Authentication Division

De La Rue has appointed David Sharratt as Managing Director of its Authentication division, replacing Andrew Clint, who has resigned to pursue other opportunities, after three years leading the division – and over 13 years with the company.

The Authentication division is responsible for De La Rue’s tax stamp and supporting software solutions business, which has enjoyed strong growth over the past few years, with new contracts won, in particular, in five of the six countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman).

David Sharratt has over 25 years’ experience growing businesses across a number of sectors, including mobile computing and software, renewable energy and chemicals. Most recently, he was Vice President, International for Array Technologies, a leader in solar power installations. Prior to this, he held various business development leadership positions at Honeywell International, including in their Global Tracking, Scanning and Mobility, and Chemicals business units.

Clive Vacher, CEO of De La Rue, commented: ‘I am delighted to welcome David Sharratt to the Group. David is an accomplished executive who will drive further growth and success in Authentication.

‘I am extremely grateful to Andrew Clint for his outstanding service to the Group. Under his leadership, the division has exhibited strong growth in revenue and margin, based on De La Rue’s proprietary track and trace solutions for governments and brand protection.’
