TOPPAN Launches Illumigram in Colour

TOPPAN Digital has expanded its Illumigram™ offering with a new colour version. Originally available only in white, the enhanced hologram now delivers multi-colour 3D text and images that appear when illuminated by strong light – such as a smartphone torch.

When viewed under natural or fluorescent lighting, the hologram appears clouded (as shown in left-hand image). But under focused light, words like ‘GENUINE’ emerge in vivid dual-tone colours (righthand image). Unlike traditional rainbow holograms, these colour effects do not shift with the viewing angle, and are created with technologies that make them significantly harder to replicate, while enabling definitive authenticity verification.

The new colour Illumigram is aimed at high-risk sectors like pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, luxury goods, and machinery. It can also be paired with ID-NEX™, a service for reading IDs with a smartphone to confirm product authenticity.
