15 Years and Counting – Part 3

It was 15 years ago, in July 2009, that the very first Tax Stamp News™ (now called Tax Stamp & Traceability News™) was published. To mark the occasion, we thought it would be interesting to go back in time, to the main news items covered by the newsletter between 2009 and today, and how they have developed over this period.

We’ve split the coverage into groups of two to three years per issue, starting with 2009-2011 in the July edition and 2012-2014 in August. This month, we turn our attention to 2015-2016, during which quite a number of milestone events took place in our industry.

Track and trace systems for addressing illicit trade issues are virtually non-existent today, observes Sven Bergmann, Venture Global Consulting. Many systems are advertised as track and trace, but in fact are either tracing only systems, serialisation systems or production and tax verification systems. Why is that?
