Authentix Wins Multiple Contracts in Africa

This year has so far proven very successful for Authentix, as far as contract wins for fuel marking and tax stamp/marking systems on the African continent are concerned.

Starting in March, Authentix announced it had signed major contracts with the Republic of Congo Ministry of International Cooperation and Promotion of Public Private Partnership to implement and operate two national marketplace governance programmes to prevent illicit trading of goods in the packaged consumer product and retail fuel sector. The contracts cover a five-year term.

The consumer products programme comprises a new digital tax stamp and track and trace solution, which will be implemented using the Authentix TransAct™ information system for affixing secure, digital tax stamps to beverages and tobacco. In addition, field inspection kits will be provided to allow traceability and visibility along the supply chain, and deter fraudulent activities.

With regard to retail fuel, Authentix’ Fuel Integrity Program includes the supply of proprietary fuel marking, as well as fuel quality testing, portable analysers, and field test kits. Also included in the programme is access to the Authentix Information System (AXIS®), a cloud- based solution for enabling tracking, compliance and enforcement throughout the supply chain.
